Cortazar & Sons traces its roots back to 1999, when the company was founded in New York City as A Plus Construction Corp. From the outset, the firm was built on a foundation of discipline, accountability, and hands-on execution.

In its early years, the company performed construction work on DASNY state contracts and for leading real estate owners, including Goldfarb Real Estate. During this period, Cortazar & Sons specialized in full gut renovations of residential apartment buildings throughout New York City, developing deep experience managing complex projects, coordinating multiple trades, and delivering high-quality results at scale.
